Synchronising sound from records with still photographs which archive it; Title Roll produces a portrait of its owner through a collection which spans forty years.
The relationship between the photographic record and the actual content of each record is activated by the visitor as they connect audio excerpts with their correlates in the photographs.
Not unlike the process of returning vinyl to its sleeve after playback, the work suggests a task whilst quietly imposing the physical movement on the viewer that its title denotes.
